One of the biggest and hottest trends in weddings for 2012 — shoes! and most importantly, they need color and/or bling! Just a few years ago, getting your bridal party’s shoes and bride’s shoes to match the dress’ color exactly was so important for esthetics. Thanks to places and company’s like Colorrifics, it was easy to match dress to shoe perfectly. But in recent years, especially this year, the trend is the bolder, the better, and opposites attract. In contrast, today, the bride’s shoes are matching her bridesmaids dresses and the bridesmaid’s dresses are matching the bride!
Brides, for the most part still want there bridal gowns a traditional white, off white or cream, and adding that pop of color in their shoes is what modernizes the look. Wether they are traditional or modern, brides these days want to be edgy, fashionable and different. They want to set the tone for the “Wow” factor at their wedding.
Shoes are big this year and the “bling-ier” the better. For some brides who opt to not be so flashy with color, diamonds and swarovski crystals covering the heal are the way to go. Another option is to have the words “I do.” on the heels of the shoe. It’s another simple way to show off your shoes without being too bright in color.
This hot trend can be an expensive one…Christian Louboutin and Jimmy Choo are wedding favorites and are popping up everywhere on bride’s feet. Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom’s has an enormous selection of shoes that range in price.

Happy Shopping! Happy Friday~
